DeveHissar i Alvesta AB Is an company that begun making Cars in 1923.

in 1978, DEVE Took over Skaraborgs Hisservice. Shortly after, they begun to make fixtures of their own. Their fixtures are used in Sweden and in Norway up untill 2004.

Deve has been bougth by Schindler in 1990, and made it as it´s own division, naming it Deve-Schindler. They closed the factory in Alvesta shortly after. Deve-Schindler became Schindler in 2000.

Outside Sweden

DEVE Made many elevators in Sweden. They also exported the elevators in Norway with the help of Reber-Schindler (and the elevators was branded as this, with newer ones with DEVE´s logotype.) DEVE Also exported a few elevators to Åland and to the United Kingdom. They also have an daugther corporation in Ardelaide, Australia. They also Exported a few elevators to Finland as well, one under the brand of Valmet-Otis.
